Hello, here the result of the course, as usually half as good as the sketch and as my idea. Still, I brought it to the end and hope to have in some months an opportunity to reinforce it on another level of skills. Presently I'm bound by familiar matters in my town of birth and I’ve got just a camping table and a PC as a workspace and not the peace I really need.
I used to draw fantasy and Sci-Fi in my youth, but because of extremly bad reception of such an art in instituts of academical education and lack of market I’ve given it up for many years.
After a long period of disease I started to scribble crazy things again about a year ago. Just for fun and just on printer paper, the cheaper thing you can get to draw. But I liked them and preserved the bests of them. You’ll find some samples on the page bottom.
I’m playing with the idea of creature design and I’m learning zBrush for this purpose. Regarding the fact that I had performed many years long design for equestrian facilities, are fantastic animals just a kind of natural developement. The basic anatomy of four legged creatures is delivered and I find it more exciting than elves or heroes.
The best sketches of the course below. And a very special mermaid I drew some years ago. If you believed that flying goats were the worst thing that I'm able to create - well, you were wrong.
Generally, I’ve signed up for the course to find out if my sketches could be usable in any way. I’m curious to hear your opinion. I’d also appreciate the opportunity to share the best concepts in the future if you don’t mind. And there is doubtles a necesserity both for training and for use of reasonable materials by sketching:)
Thanks a lot. It has been a big fun.

Profesor PlusFriend, I want to congratulate you on your project, I mean it with total sincerity. I love it!
The final design has some anatomy problems, but you can improve with practice. But it is a wonderful design, the tail seems very original to me and I can imagine it on a real creature.
Your sketches are the best of everything, very loose, fresh. I get the feeling that you really have fun drawing.
Do not stop doing it, there is great potential here. I hope to see what you do in the near future :D

@dibujantenocturno Hallo Fran, Thanks a lot for the compliment. Yes, I see the problems. But there is a story about a picture, I think It has been Goya. Or Delacroix, I don't remember. Academical exhibition. The generall composition was great and the expression even greater. But ther was also an mistake by one of the arms. The artist fixed the issue and the artwork lost the expression. So I let just the themes as they are to preserve entire impression and reinforce the issues on other sample.
Generally I used to draw a lot of model studies in the past and I'm presently refreshing anatomy for the purpose of 3D modelling. But I'm just terribly out of training.

@chrisjamesfox Thank you a lot. I'm happy myself with many sketches which I performed during the course. However, I'm not always equally good. Fran has just a very inspiring way of teaching and his practices und hints are really interesting. It enabled me to find again my fun and courage at drawing and presenting of fantastic themes and creatures. Just few days of permanent sketching were enough to observe a significant improvement of the artistic quality.
So my main conclusion sounds: drawing and drawing and drawing. Really every day. I'm just having no time at the moment.
Sorry for late answer, I've been on journey, it has been my first day for three weeks with enough time to write and stable internet connection to send messages:)
Regards
Anna E. Lukasik-Fisch

@anelluk You are enough. You are already enough. And the more that you can honor your unique voice, brush, pen, expression, practice... to that degree, your work will surpass even our teacher. It's like that. We stand on the shoulders of Giants. And we all get a better view for it.
