I'm glad to see that you've repeated and done more than one scene, and I hope that's because you've enjoyed it :) In both I clearly see the intention of highlighting the foreground, but for this effect to be stronger I advise you not to be afraid to work the first wet layers with more water. Thus, when you highlight the dry details, you will get a foreground with more definition compared to the others.
