My project for course: Editorial Illustration for Magazines

I posted some ideas relating to a metaphorical portrait of me from "Down Under" Australia but I found I couldn't take it to the next level as it wasn't a concept I could explore meaningfully. I find it easier to tackle a real text and do the research so that I can come up with some meaningful metaphors about a topic. So I found an article from the UK / England about SUV cars and the problems they can cause where road space and parking space is limited. I have found this to be a problem even in Australia as some of our suburban streets are very narrow and not suitable for these large cars. So this is a very relevant article which I thought I would explore as an Editorial topic.

I would like to thank Emma for her encouragement when I chose a different topic, her hints at direction and colour and her insights with regard to my new illustrations. I liked learning from her methodology, her thought processes and her discipline of experimenting with greyscale, colour and composition. It was a good course that was clear and well planned.
