My project for course: Pop-Up Book Creation on Orangutans

Thank you for teaching this course. It used to be fun looking at pop books and thinking how they actually happened, the mystery behind it. I really loved your course. Although it was fun knowing the mechanisms and process it was pretty challenging while executing my own book. The way you have taught the whole subject with such simplification has made the course much more interesting and simplified as well. The binding was a bit tough part for me, especially measuring the spine which I made wider in the beginning, then had to cut due to it's not working, learnt a lesson there though.

Although in the beginning, I planned to work on something else, but this is what I came up with and I hope you'll like it. I would love to get your feedback as well.@silvia_libracos
The book is about the funny Orangutans, it's a picture-book displaying their journey in my head, the witty the funnier and cartoon like they are. All the illustrations I made were manually drawn first, then scanned and then printed out on printing sheets, I have pasted them on a heavier gsm paper, to make the mechanisms and get them work. Have painted the whole book. Have used simple mechanisms than the much complex ones. I made the small dummies first then applied to my final one. Have made all the mechanisms manually, didn't use any software, though would like to know some good and regularly used softwares.

Really enjoyed working on this one.
The best part about learning this course is it open ups your creative side to another level, I try using some mechanisms in my regular sketchbook and simple sketches now, which makes it more interesting and excites me to create more and more.
