The design process is very well documented.
All starting objectives are met.
The approach to the house, being a fairly broad functional program, is very correct.
The distribution is rational, keeping the circulation to one side and the common area piece in the center. Plus it looks well proportioned.
Volumetrically it is very interesting with a set of covers that helps to rank the spaces.
Perhaps you should study in greater depth the possible solar protections since a hot climate is predicted and there is a lot of glass.
For the rest, you manage to transmit with its materiality a mix of rustic and also sophisticated industrial style that was the intention of the project.
The renders transmit all these conditioning factors well resolved.
Nice job!
If you are interested in delving into aspects of comfortable design and dealing with materials from the point of view of well-being, I recommend my second course. I think it's in tune with your style.
Hello Ana,
Thank you very much for your comments on this project, they encourage me to continue learning and improving my work. Regarding your comment about solar protections, due to a budgetary issue, no more protections are incorporated than those granted by the eaves, except in the central volume of the living/dining room, which are considered to be incorporated as part of the roof overhang; In any case, an adaptive comfort approach is considered, where the user regulates, for example, by means of curtains, the amount of sun that enters the rooms... especially in winter, since we are in the south of Chile and in winter it is very cold.
By the way, your new course is very interesting, especially related to neuroarchitecture.

Professeur PlusIt is understood! I'm sure you know the weather well, it seemed pretty extreme from the pictures...
Neuroarchitecture is an exciting topic, yes :-)
