Hi Iván, Damon Albarn's first one is great. I wouldn't touch anything. I love!
The portrait of Jack White I like the expression but it would give it more impact by giving it more textures, dirtying it more. It would also lower the tones of the face and give it more rawness and shades of shadows. If you have been based on a photo, I use a Photoshop trick (I don't know if it's in Illustrator) to extract the shadows in a very real and even dramatic way. Go to Image> Adjustments> Threshold and there you can level how much shadow and contrast you want to extract. Then if you want you can vectorize it on top.
Ian Curtis's drawing is cool, but if you want to turn it into a poster I would add something else. Some line geometry on top would suit him well. Even extracting the lines from Unknown Pleasures and overlapping them or something like that.
The Pearl Jam I love the idea. It would highlight the submarine in some way. Maybe with a shine. As if it were an apparition.
A hug!
@oscargimenez thank you very much for the criticism it comes in handy! I'm glad you like Damon Albarn's. As for Jack White's, if I base myself on a photo and I did it following the style of a course I did, but I'm going to take into account the trick you gave me, so I experiment and see that it comes out. Ian's is an illustration that I made only of him without thinking about it as a poster and when I published it later I also thought about adding the lines of Unknown Pleasures haha, but I'm going to try it. Finally the one of PJ if now that I see it could have highlighted the submarine more in some way.
Thanks for the quick response and I hope you can continue my work, hug!
Hello again, was the course that of Ilustra con claw and you will win? I think that the colleagues of Conspiracy Studio advised you in the end to stain the background and add "noise" to the illustration. I think that's what I'm missing;)
Feel free to contact me whenever you want me to take a look at something. And of course I look forward to seeing your course project when you start it. See you around here.
@oscargimenez if it is from that course, in the illustration I decided to only apply noise to the character, it can be seen in the jacket, on the skin ... as for the background I have a version with the background stained but I did not like it very much and I chose to leave it clean, personally I liked it better like that in this case. Thank you very much for the help and of course that when I take your course I will show you my final work, we are in contact!
