Practising with simple lines

Luckily cement is not very expensive, I can afford to make many mistakes in order to learn. I've learned to make a more stable and correct frame so that the mix doesn't leak, and made sure my mold stays flat on the glass when i stick them together. Sharp corners are also very tricky to pour, and I have to work quickly so that the cement don't harden and stick to the mold.

I started experimenting with free hand pouring. But i still need to figure out how to achieve a marbling effect. Right now it looks more like a camouflage pattern.

I also made a cement base and use my car as a press. The result is not bad, but i have a little bit of crack, not sure if that is from the pressure or my mixture wasn't correct, I may have put more water than usual, and the cement back is dryer than instructed.

A few days ago I tried to lay words into the tile, my imagination was to "print" a short poem or story into the tile. The result wasn't great. Looks like I need to make better letters and also sand down the tile face to reveal the words properly, like terrazzo process.
