I really like the technique you have used and how clean and clear the subject of the typeface looks, something important when it is reading for children.
The end is not so clear to me. Is it the child who saves the turtle and it has young later? is it so? I think that with the ending a little, the story would be understood very well.

Thanks Maria. Yes, the boy is recycling and takes the bag out of the turtle's mouth. In the end she is only with her family and says she was lucky because they saved her life.
I do not understand very well what you mean by adding, I suppose it is to develop it a little more or make it clearer. Well, the beauty of sharing is that you can see the visual unit and it is possible to give it more clarity or appeal to the reader.
I think that now that I have seen it complete, perhaps I would illustrate the child looking into the sea, perhaps swimming or playing; love of nature is a value that is transmitted and that children receive it with great ease and passion.
