Penguins in the Fens

I am an archaeologist. One of the sites I have been lucky enough to work on was Must Farm (A bronze age settlement in the fens to the East of Peterborough)...so I have created a version of that...but populated by penguins because I'm not very confident drawing people...and in the modern world because the Bronze Age fens weren't very visually interesting. There are also a lot more right-angles than there were at Must Farm...much easier to draw in isometric.
I intend to scan this and colour it digitally on the computer...would rather not ruin what I am quite pleased with...with my bad watercolouring.
I really enjoyed this project. It made me think in a way that I have never tried before...and certainly had never tried drawing before.

Professeur PlusKind of hard to believe it's your first try! Perfect volumes and lovely details, looking forward to seeing it in colour (a good idea to scan it) you can also try to print it out on watercolour paper If you have the possibility to. Great work!

@mattiasadolfsson Thankyou I'll take that as a compliment! I did technical drawing at school...but otherwise I've not been near a drawing board in 25 years. Has been lovely to reconnect...it certainly won't be the last time that I do. Thankyou.
