It is a Loft type country house located 6 km from a municipality called El Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico.
There were already some walls in the property (a rectangle in plan), so the design was adapted to the existing and that is why the house has a rectangular base mainly for the interior area.
An analysis of regional materials was made so that the design was adapted to the environment. I uploaded some images that were taken on a tour in the municipality.
It is a spectacular home with very generous measurements.
The volume is interesting due to the combination of walls and more stone elements combined with the lightness of the glass. To have conserved the preexistences is a success.
On the other hand, the contrast between more limited heights, such as that of one of the porches, with the majesty of the double or triple heights, generate a contraction and expansion of the spaces that are also attractive for the user experience.
The materiality based on the environment, both built and natural, is a success, since it allows the house to be built with materials and professionals from the area.
The house achieves a good harmony between the interior and the exterior by unifying the finishes and diluting the boundaries between both spaces through the use of large glazed walls and terraces + porches.
The renders look very realistic but we would lack the plants to finish evaluating the project.
