Thank you Steve for the amazing course. I personally learned a lot from your process. Very insightful and eye opening.
This is the final design that I came up with. I wanted to maintain an overall warmer feel to the composition so I included some orange tones in the color palette to balance out the coldness of the purple.
I did not focus too much on pixel perfect or accurate shapes. My intention was to keep the feel of the final piece a bit more hand drawn just to make it seem a bit more trippy and psychedelic.
Instead of just copy pasting a picture of Hendrix I decided to make a semi-realistic drawing of him instead. Main reason being to practice and incorporate the skills I learned from the other Domestika course that I finished about portrait drawing but I kept the coloring a bit more simplified this time.
I don't feel like I perfectly nailed down the tones and the colors. I found it quite challenging to work with purples and oranges that look good together.
Hope you enjoy the final design.
Cheers.

Professor PlusHi David
Thanks for sharing - congratulations on finishing the project :))
Always good to see the progression - would have been even better if you had shared the sketches as you went along so I could have given feedback at each stage - small changes at the rough stage can make a big difference to the final project:))
Overall it looks great - being picky :)) would have been nice to see a bit more variation in the lettering forms so it isn’t confused with a font.
Love the texture of the head - you could have continued that texture over the rest of the design so as to bring the whole artwork together - making it feel more cohesive
Your colour palette is Verny vibrant - love the way the colours pop!!!
On the label, you could have added some of your border pattern in a circular way - just would help fill up the dead space a bit
I do like this - would have been nice to see each stage as you completed it so I could have given feedback
Thanks so much and best of luck
Regards
Steve
