Great job, Rafael! You have given strength to the gestures of the subject starting from the simplicity. They are elegant photos that convey the mood of a good, serene conversation, where important things are about to be unraveled or resolved. I give you only two tips for future sessions:
- be careful with the accessories, the photo with the sunglasses takes me out a bit of the character
- pay attention also to the background, the second photo would have twice the strength without the window behind.
My favorites are 1, 5 and 9. Have you used music or want to tell something about the session?
Thank you very much for your comments Lupe. You are right with both observations, in my defense I have to say that it was difficult for me to convince him to take off his sunglasses, the time could not be worse to take photos, both because of the intensity and the direction of the light. I took it as a "real" practice in which I would not have been able to choose the time and would have had to deal with the circumstances. Regarding the session, I imagined a character related in some way to telecommunications, I just moved to a flat with access to a terrace full of antennas.
In the end I went back to using the same music that I talked about on the forum that I had used in other portrait sessions, the first James Blake album. It seems to me an intense and introspective music, I suppose they are qualities that have to do with me and my way of seeing things but also with the air I wanted to give the session.
A hug.
Receive my compliments.
I suppose Lupe will be happy to see such a good result from her course.
To suggest something, since you forced yourself not to be able to choose the time and the exterior light was so harsh ... I don't know if you could have put the portrayed in the shade or have used the diffuser that Lupe showed us (the one that goes inside the reflector) by placing it between the sun and the subject to be portrayed. Although I suppose that for this you would have needed an assistant or take the photographs from very close. I don't know what our teacher will think about it.
Thanks for sharing your final project, very instructive.
Congratulations, Rafael.
@rafaelricoy He's right @pollobarba , but hard light is also very expressive, that's why it doesn't seem like a problem in itself, just something to deal with :)

Thanks a lot. Indeed I tried to generate some shadow by putting a diffuser on some strings but I would have needed a helper :)
