Congratulations on completing the course and thanks for sharing your final project with the community.
I think these are great, particularly the first picture. The second not so much, the noise in the image is quite noticeable, something you may like, but I feel it's too much. Settings are probably about the same, but since the second picture the camera is slightly tilted up there is some unwanted light entering the lens. If you had used a lens hood or somehow covered that excess lighting coming from the top you'd have gained more contrast in the image.
I also feel the first picture has a more organic look, you capture the perfect moment, making it look very spontaneous and worth being published in a magazine or so.
You just need to be careful with the highlights on the model's head, it's too intense and attracts attention. It might be hard to reduce this in Lightroom or equivalent since the values are already at 100%, and impossible to bring it down to regular levels. This is not a criticism at all, since I'm sure this picture has been taken with available light somewhere in the street and I understand is not a studio or a lighting setup that you used. I also believe that you took this picture on your own without any help, but if you at some point want to learn more about controlling light and have help from someone, I'd suggest you buy a reflector, which inside tends to have a diffuser and you can use that to put on top of your subject (having someone holding it out of frame) to bring down the exposure of that harsh light.
This is a great moment nonetheless and the pictures are stunning, please take my comment as a way that you can improve the quality in the future. Feel free to give that a try and see how controlling and shaping light will work in your favor.
@giulia_candussi Thank you very much for the comments, they really contribute a lot to me and motivate me to continue learning. I look forward to your next course!
