My project for course: Anthropomorphic Character Creation

Creation process of Golon, the violet anthropomorphic gorilla.

The character's violet skin is the color of sobriety, but also that of metempsychosis and is associated with intelligence. The gorilla animal is a symbol of human vanity, so the chromatic chord chosen in this illustration is violet, pink, mustard and orange.

Golon is a 25-year-old human fictional character who lives in 1972, the year of the rat in the Chinese horoscope. This is the time of "Flower Power", which is why their outfits are inspired by oriental ethnic attire with psychedelic iconography (curvy prints) and abundant beads. As an activity, the character is a skilled craftsman who loves spring but is afraid of butterflies.
