Update: In order to follow the evolution to my works in watercolor, two years later (2023) I made a new version of my father's portrait. Less painting, more balance on color charge, better background! Everything due to that first instructions by Ale! Thank you very much!

2021: This is my father's portrait. I made another two versions I didn't like. The reference photo hasn't a light I considered "ideal", so I tried to "change" the light direction and the result was bad, with too many layers that altered the form of his face. I like best this one. Every exercise and every try made my strokes better. The background is a problem, but I'll improve it in future paintings. :-)
Thank you, Ale! Your work is amazing and teaching method is very effective and fruitful.
