Abraham's course was a tough challenge. It really is expected that you are familiar with Adobe Illustrator because he only shows the tools and techniques very quickly. But I was excited to tackle this style of vector work.
Unfortunately the course was hard to follow because the subtitle translations from Spanish to English were so poor. Sometimes the translation didn't know what the word Abraham was saying and just inserted some random made up words. But I persisted to the end and it was worth it because he shows some really awesome Illustrator shading tips that I can really use.

Hey Meerkatsu
Firstly love your work here, really nice and slick!
I too struggled with the off subtitles now and again. I was wondering if you had a mo to express in English the parts you found difficult and how you solved it as I think I probs in the same spot as you (for example using the contours to shade - do you lock the asset after you duplicate it to erase the bit you want etc etc?).
If you have the time to share your knowledge I'd really appreciate it but no worries if not!
Best,
Matt

@mattf I'll be honest I can't recall the precise method I used. I kind of just made it up as I went along. I don't recall locking any of the shapes though. I just deleted them as shown by Abraham. Sometimes when I did this a few of the vector lines would go wonky, so I would correct these individually. It was tedious work but worth doing because they would draw attention. Sorry I can't be of more help. This kind of intense vector shading isn't something I do on a regular basis.
