Thank you Sarah for a wonderful learning experience, I’ve really enjoyed it and am learning so much. I started with incorrect materials and can see how better paper - poor Donkey paid the price there - and having the correct paint colours would have made following much easier. I’m very happy, however with progress and grateful for this opportunity. I’ll be practicing techniques for a while yet, and getting good paper and paints.

    I always have a soft spot for donkeys and despite the fact that there maybe areas of the painting that you’re not certain about, this is a really beautiful piece. It’s full of warmth and vibrancy, with a lovely mix of colours. I also think it’s a great idea to revisit a piece to try out different colour ways and techniques; something I’ve done many a time! Really well done on a super and accomplished set of paintings and thank you so much for sharing them on the forum.

    Thanks heaps Sarah for your positive feedback and encouragement. It’s helpful to get an objective take on one’s work. It can be hard to redo a creative piece but with patience the learning reward is great. I will be revisiting your lessons for a while and will post new and enlivened Donkey when he is done, I too am fond of Donkeys 😊
