Some More Than Others, Making a Book

I started with the seeds and plants I found on my walk along the river, from my flat in Marqués de Vadillo (Madrid) to Casa de Campo. Just as Jesús suggested, I followed the shape of the seeds and let the creatures take shape. Gradually, a story began to evolve, about friendship and creativity, and how it can sometimes be quite nice to let go of names and labels and just be together.

I whitened the pages of an old exhibition catalogue I'd found in a secondhand bookshop here in Madrid and then began to draw in colour pencils on the rough surface. Once I'd finished the 12 drawings, I wrote a story to go with them.

Then I scanned the images and made a book!
