My very first attempt at painting watercolor birds, under the wonderful guidance of teacher Sarah Stokes. This was almost therapeutic to create. Loved her class - and now I love watercolor more than ever!

    What a wonderful collection of pieces. You have an excellent sense of tone and of colour. For example in the final piece I love how you have layered up the paint on the stonechat on the end, leaving those little chinks of light just under the wing. Your splashes are also bold, powerful and effective. Congratulations on some fantastic work here and I’m so glad that you enjoyed the course!
