My project for course: Delicate Watercolors for Narrative Illustration

J'ai beaucoup aimee ce cours!

...I am Italian but currently live in Houston, Texas with my husband and child. That's why I decided to depict a native texan animal with native flora, but this was the first time for me to draw a character and I was quite nervous about it! I kept postponing it, especially the anthropomorphization... So in the end I opted for just leaving the animals animals ahah!

I decided to make a Holiday themed illustration to make cards.

This is my painting, with my family as three armadillos:

And this is the card.
I digitally removed the star on top of my son's head (ahah), put one on his back and added the lettering, and adjusted the colors

Then I played more with the adjustment layers to make some other color versions, because I like doing that :D
