Rain Pavilion is located at the shore of the North Sea. A place of tranquility and peace. I designed it back in 2020 as a personal project inspired by Dutch nature.
Milk glass and white tones are blending the building with the sea foam, while the warm light that comes from inside is welcoming even in dull weather.
Mirrored arcs are representing waves and their rhythm, the sea itself.
The sculpture "Rain" by Nazar Bilyk in the center is the only exhibit in the space that attracts all the attention. The cloth hanging from the ceiling is moving slightly in the wind and gives you a feeling that the whole building is alive. A round portal gives natural lighting and also allows rain to fall down on the grass island, completing the experience.
