“Refining the Best Sketches In this lesson, we will refine our first sketches. My process is that I take a photo of them and then continue working on them in Procreate on my iPad. I'm quite new at working on the iPad. I bought it quite recently. I did it because I had some work where I wanted the final result to look more like a hand drawing. After that, I did several illustrations, but I have realized that it is so good for sketching. It's so easy to start a sketch, to erase, and to move things around. I have mostly been using it for that. Now, I'll start to do my sketches a bit more detail...”

Ingela P Arrhenius is a Swedish illustrator who has over 30 years of experience in her field. She has been drawing and making things for as long as she can remember, and first started her creative career in an advertising agency. From there, she took part-time classes in everything from oil painting to drawing before going on to study graphic design full-time at Bergh School of Communication. After graduating, she set up her business as a freelance illustrator, working on magazines, book covers, advertising campaigns, and more before publishing her first children’s book in 1994.
Since then, Ingela has published 10 books in collaboration with her scriptwriter husband and worked with a number of brands on international projects, including stamps for The Swedish Post and a series of limited-edition beauty products for Biotherm. She has also been commissioned to create print patterns for fabrics, wallpaper, stationery, packaging, home accessories, toys, and more.
