“Hatching (not Eggs) In this lesson we'll start using the pen and hatch. We are going to make a square. Normally, I work on a 45 degree slope, but for the purpose of this course I'm going to work on the table so it's easier to show what I'm doing. With hatching, you can make several different gray tones, between white and black there are many different shades, and with different directions of hatching, you can make a darker or lighter shade.
