People who change me
Here I share more influences that due to lack of space, I could not mention you during the course lesson on this topic:
Charles and Ray Eames
They are a couple of North American designers who with their work forever marked the design of the 20th century and onwards. Their main contribution is in the design of furniture and in a technique of molding plywood, which during World War II, the United States Navy commissioned them to produce slats in this material molded plywood, for stretchers and experimental projectiles. In 1946, Evans Products began producing Eamese molded plywood furniture. His influential plywood chair was called "the chair of the century" by influential architectural critic Esther McCoy.I find a lot of inspiration at home. It is a magical place that inspires me for its simplicity and practicality, as well as its design that lasts beyond time. I am also inspired by his office, which in its most important moment was a creativity factory that did everything: toys, exhibitions, graphic design and films, among which Powers of Ten and SFX 70.
The Eames make complicated easy. Your communication is logical, beautiful and well established. Nothing is left over or missing. I am inspired by his neatness, the collaborative spirit (which I also have with my wife in many projects) and the elegance of the final result. I aspire to be as elegant in many of my projects, as they are. Here you can find more videos of them.
Jean Jullien
Also check out the work of Jean Jullien because he has a fantastic power of synthesis, for his brush stroke that inspires me a lot and that adds to the movements social, like the logo he made using the Eiffel Tower as the sign of La Paz when the attacks in France, and nothing is a social commentator, an artist with an incredible range, he is a painter, designer and that is why I like his work, he has a very cute, very simple and very comic color palette and has a very unique style that makes you easily identify his work. -
My favourite books
First, I want to recommend you a book of mine, which you can download for free: 30 ideas about ideas . I like to think of it as some kind of creative laxative. If I'm stuck and can't think of anything, I take a look at it and something always comes up to help me get a better idea.
These other two books have been creative learning for me:
Creative Blindness and How To Cure It by Dave Trott.
With what rhyme does he rhyme? by Alejandro Magallanes
