My project for course: Travel Log Illustration with Mixed Techniques

I chose a holiday to Rhodes as my subject for this project. Each element took quite some time, so I realised that I would have to scale down were I to plan to fill a whole sketchbook featuring any particular trip, but it was fun to do and is a lovely memento of my trip.

I hadn't heard of using clear nail varnish as a gloss coat before but I love that technique, and I used it on my glass bottle to great effect. I enjoyed watching the videos and seeing how you work Iván, always new things to learn.

I did find the translation to English subtitles to be quite poor which was a shame, although I could usually work out what was meant. And I couldn't see that Iván had given any feedback on completed projects for the past 11 months? I guess lifetime availability is a big commitment for any tutor, but it would be nice to get some feedback.

On the whole though I enjoyed the course and learnt a lot from it, so thank you very much, I had fun. 😃
