The Hilda bag - Wear it on your back or clip it on your bike!

We have an exciting new sewing pattern we can’t wait to share with you. She’s called the Hilda Bag and she’s a backpack and bike pannier in one! How genius is that.

The first concept for this bag came to me during lockdown one. I had some leather which I wanted to up-cycle and I knew I wanted to make a bag which would be good for cycling. Of all the things I have made it is probably the thing that I have used the most (pretty much everyday since I made it). The design is so useful for carrying my laptop & lunch to work, doing a weekly food shop, going on adventures at the weekend and generally just taking the pressure off my shoulders to carry everything all the time! The waist and chest straps really help distribute the weight evenly when its being worn as a backpack and the pannier clips are a super secure way of attaching it to the back of your bike so that you can fly up those hills!

Since making that first bag I’ve refined the design, tested it out with other cyclists and sourced best possible fabrics to make it with.
