I have taken the Illustrated Portrait in Watercolor course by Ana Santos to practice painting and mixed media techniques. I have been drawing portraits and doing illustrations focused of people for many years, but I felt stuck in my approach and needed some practical inspiration - especially with regards to composition and topics.

Animals - I chose to include two lynxes with two different expressions: a calmer and a more aggressive one.

I enjoyed the course so much that I decided to create another project from the portrait I painted in an earlier stage of the course. I used the same plant motifs and abstract splashes as in the main project.
