First of all, congratulations on getting here and doing the final project!
The idea of the poster as a reminder is fine, but I preferred that you use your own examples to think and ask yourself other questions that arise when you start writing sentences from scratch.
I correct some things:
1. There are three small spelling mistakes ( Irony must have a tilde in the 'i', it should put less and not better and surprised must have a tilde in the 'o').
2. In the case of the apostrophe, I don't see any reason to put two apostrophes (p'a '). In Spanish it is used to indicate the elision of a vowel at the beginning or end of a word: Ven pa'cá. -
Some authors like Jorge de Buen say that the apostrophe is used incorrectly to indicate the elision of other letters at the end of a word. In cases like these, the altered word must be italicized without an apostrophe: Come now pa home .
3. A very small detail –but I don't want to overlook it– is the point in the sentence below center. The final period should not be between the two closing quotes, but before the Spanish quotes: «That's what the boy said, exactly he told me:" Now I'm coming. "»
Good afternoon Rachel,
I'm still not clear about the period at the end after the quotes or before, can you clarify a bit or again? I sure missed it when you explained it.
