what you comment on the texture, as everything is quite subjective. In my opinion, the general tendency is to go too far with the image contrast. On the screen it holds up well, but if we want to end up printing the image, it is best to avoid going overboard with blacks.
In your case, for me the upper part of the image is ok and in the lower part I would lower the contrast a little (avoid that the blacks fill up too much). On the other hand, I really like the texture that the suit has taken so the solution is somewhere in between so as not to lose it.
On the face, the illustration effect is very marked in the nose area, but once again this is a matter more of personal style than of rules.
There is also an issue of differences in resolution of some elements of the image. For example, the mountains in the upper right are a bit pixelated while the "kame hame" effect (I'm from this era) is very "over-focused" with respect to the hands. The ideal is to use images with sufficient resolution so that when enlarging them we do not lose quality and apply blurs to match them with the elements around them.
In general it is very good and I encourage you to do more because with each composition you learn something and each time you will improve some aspect.
Thank you very much @peterporta for the directions. I will make the changes that you indicate when I have a while and I will upload the result, everything you tell me I can modify, in fact the mountains on the right what happens is that I went over with the Gaussian blur, but I can solve it now that I saved the photocomposition in different moments of the montage to precisely be able to rectify things like this;)
Another thing, I will not lose the texture of the suit since it is an independent layer: I looked for a general texture for the image but I liked the tone it gave to the suit, and I made a layer mask just for the suit, to be able to raise the opacity regardless of the overall texture.
And as for the blacks, I agree with you, I will rectify it.
Thank you very much, as soon as I can upload the modifications, I have learned a lot in the course. Thank you!
Hello @peterporta , happy new year! I have already made the modifications to the image, how do you see it now? By the way, I just noticed that under the fireball you can see letters from the kimono, I'll also remove it so it doesn't distract ;-)
Hi @dibabdet
much better, right? for me it is very cool. As I always have to say something, the temple on the left for me is very focused on the elements around it. But in general it is very good.
for another right?
