Cemetery Nights Are Very Chill (Mostly) is my final class project for Becky Cas' Domestika class. I followed her process closely, first collecting inspiration in Pinterest and then sketching elements I might include. I thought of a simple story to help me choose which elements would tell the story best and guide the layout in a rough sketch.

My story is: the cemetery is full of happy and cute characters and spirits, so there's no need to be scared... unless the grim reaper decides to make an appearance.

After drawing my line art in one layer as Becky does, I added color, highlights, and shadows.

I learned so much from this course and am excited to complete it again to draw a winter holiday world. Thank you Becky and thank you Domestika for the great class!
