Wethersfield Summer 2021: Plein Air + Studio Painting

This was a painting I started in summer 2021, during my time as a Fellow at the Hudson River Fellowship in New York. An event I've attended for the past four years. The idea of painting in the same historical locations where the Hudson River School of painters did, have inspired me to create new work, both on Plein air and in the studio. This piece is particularly that: I started painting it on the location for two sessions. Each sessions was for about 3 to 4 hour long. When I brought the pain sting back to my studio in the city, I thought I could spend more time in the finishing stages. The glazes and working more specific with the information I had. All this, trying to keep the freshness of the Plein-air feeling in the work.
