This is my final set up of my Bullet Journal!
Perfection and power are overrated. I think you are very wise to choose happiness and love
- Uncle Iroh (Avatar The Last Airbender)
I used a Midori Traveler's Notebook with a dot grid fill. My favorite pens are the Lamy fountain pen with Sketch Ink (by Rohrer & Klingner) for writing, the Pentel Touch for lettering and just some simple fine liners for adding illustrations. I'm also currently in love with the Tombow Abt Watercolor brush-end (especially the number 025 which is a golden/ochre/mustard like yellow).
So far I love the spreads I'm using: Index, future log, monthly log and daily log. I also love to add some collections.
This is the sketch I did for the cover page. I enjoyed just drawing some flowers or plants with a fineliner is so much! ♡ I'll probably draw more animals in the future, because that's what I love to draw the most besides plants.
Designwise I like to keep it simple, so that I don't get overwhelmed or demotivated when I want to write something down or start a new spread/collection/monthly log etc.
I love the idea of the "year in pixels" spread I found on Pinterest, and I'm so excited to see what it looks like at the end of the year.
I decided to go for a mix of weekly and daily log. I don't want to set up fixed boxes for every day in the week, because I tend to write down more or less then the estimated space. So I just start with the current day and then add to it.
Last but not least: this is a close up of my reading list, because I love the shiny golden ribbon page marker.
Future plans: Right now I'm planning to add a "budget spread" to keep track of my food and hobby expenses, because I don't want to spend money mindlessly all the time and save more money for the future.
I don't plan to share my bullet journal on social media because it's so personal to me (although I love the design very much, but let's see ; D )
Overall I had so much fun setting up this bullet journal. I nearly forgot how calming and satisfying it is to just write something down with a nice pen.
I used a bullet journal before, but I stopped after a short time because I put too much pressure on myself to make it look nice and aesthetic. But now I really feel like I can use the bullet journal as it is supposed to be: to clean up my mind, organize my thoughts and be more mindful. This summarizes the goal I had in mind when starting the bullet journal - I wanted to find a slow and peaceful place where I can rest and step away from the fast and complex digital world we're living in.
Thanks for this amazing course, Annie! @a_journal_by_annie
