Hi Sergei, very cool work! I think you have a great eye for color and composition, and I really like the depth that you created in this piece. You really understand what I was teaching about how to use shadows and highlights to make everything look 3-dimensional and bring an image like this to life. I also think this is a great concept for your project. The imagery showing an underwater city within a glass orb being held by the earth, but also showing cracks and draining out through these waterfalls is a very interesting idea. Personally, it makes me think about the fragility of our life on this planet, and the ephemeral nature of time and civilization. I also like that you included imagery from Russia because it shows where you're coming from and makes the work more personal. So I wanted to say great work creating a piece that will make people think and reflect on your message.
Overall, I think this is a great image and I just have a few simple retouching suggestions to think about for this or for your projects in the future. The main thing I would focus on is image resolution and trying to make things match as closely as possible, like bringing up the resolution for images like the sharks. I think the imagery within the globe works very well and you did a good job using light effects and bubbles to make it look very believable. I really like the crack you added with light rays coming out. I also think the hand is great with the waterfalls coming down to add some dynamic motion. One small thing is that the hand might be a little over-sharpened compared to the rest of the image, so I would think about bringing down the contrast a bit on that. The main thing I would say is to work on optimizing the resolution and sharpness in your photographic source material to make your digital collage images even better.
But I think you've developed a very distinct style in your work, and I really like the depth and texture that you have created. I hope you learned some new tips and tricks from this course and I would encourage to keep going in this direction. Great work!
@nick_pedersen Hi Nick! Thank you so much for your feedback and appreciation of my work! Your opinion is very important to me. I saw the errors and will fix them. I will continue to develop the technique of owning Photoshop. Now I can't do it without Photoshop. Thank you for this course. I learned a lot of interesting things for myself, and most importantly, I got a powerful motivation. Thank you!
