Hi Everybody! This is the project I worked on for the course of Graphic Visualization: Telling Complex Stories through Simple Images.
The source of information is a short scientific review that offers an overview of neuroscience studies demonstrating how multiple sensory modalities affect the object grasping movement. This review will be published shortly in Frontiers in Psychology (https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.614471/abstract).
The idea comes from the request of an author of the paper, who needed an image to promote the review though a post on the Facebook page of the research group. The message that the visual intends to communicate is simple and represents the key concept of the studies described in the paper: different sensory modalities participate in the hand grasping movement.
The image will then be accompanied by a brief textual introduction in the post.
In choosing the palette, I decided to be consistent with the colors of the research group's website (Neuroscience of Movement laboratory, NeMo Lab, at the University of Padua; http://nemolaboratory.com/).
I hope you will enjoy my work.
