Excellent Jaime, although you explain some things about the images above, I would like to know how you assembled the images that go with the integrated text if you did it manually or did you apply grep?
Excellent, @jaimedelatorre ! You have worked hard and I am glad to know that this course has been useful for you.
The result is very interesting, congratulations.
I'm so glad you did research beyond what we saw in the lessons. Making use of the illustration caption (static or dynamic) is a huge advantage to layout this type of book; but it will always depend on the images being very well named. There are many more functions and resources of file metadata that can help you.
I think the example you show from Find / Change is not GREP but text. With it, you get rid of the .jpg extension in the name of the photos. If, on the other hand, you had many more file formats, like svg or pdf , then only GREP would come to your aid. In that case, the expression would be something like:
Find: \. \ L {2,4}
This way it would look for a period, followed by a low box letter repeated between 2 and 4 times. This is how it would work for Imagen.ai, Imagen.psd or Imagen.jpeg ... among many other cases. If necessary, add the \> flag to make sure it's only at the end of a word.
Already, in terms of design, I think you solved it very well. To refine it much more, in my opinion, I recommend you take care of the configuration of the justified in block as well as the separation of words so that the spaces are more homogeneous and rivers and white spots are not generated in the text. The body and line width are also factors to consider. Check out David Kimura's course on this platform to learn how to work on microtype adjustments.
