My project for course: Dreamy Watercolor Landscapes: Paint with Light

This is my final project. I really liked the course and learned some new techniques and points of attention for me. Most importantly, I should do more preparation. Make small sketches to try out the composition and the coloring.

This painting is actually my second version. In the first version (last picture) I was not happy with the composition and decided to add the soil at the bottom of the trees. But I still think the trees are somewhat off. That's why I made a second version, based on my original idea where you don't see the soil at the bottom of the trees.

At the end, I still was not completely happy with the composition, so in the final step I added some more branches on the left side to fill this side a bit more.

I used 30.5x45.5 cm Fabriano Artistico traditional white 300g/m2 100% cotton paper.
