Re(cognition

My love of geometry is apparent in a lot of my work! In this artwork, I combined an angular low-poly face with many concentric circles to achieve what I hope is a futuristic aesthetic.

Re(cognition explores the intersection of African diaspora culture with technology. The geometric face represents a Black woman who is bold, futuristic, and boundless; the concentric circles are her braided hair — a symbol of Black creativity and pride.
