I have decided to go back to my vector style and create an illustration based on the idea of a self-portrait in an air balloon. I used presentation mockups to showcase my work in a context of an actual publication. It is a nice way to end a project with a feeling of fulfilment.
Mockups and visualisations are such a lovely way to show off your work. It translates directly to the client‘s needs.
What I found interesting was creating text supporting my illustrations. It was somehow very difficult to verbalise all the emotions and feelings connected with myself and my creative processes.
I feel I have been floating freely so far but would like to find a destination as an illustrator. The person in the air balloon in my picture finally finds a city to land in. So perhaps I will also find clients for my work and a way to earn money this way.
For me it is never about the money though. I just find other, non-creative jobs I do to earn the living increasingly boring. A big obstacle in the fulfilment of one’s dreams can also be a low self-esteem and personal struggles. Hopefully, like the guy in the illustration, I will find a nice little place with valuable opportunities.
Thank you to Emma Hanquist - our teacher - for creating such an informative and well presented course. I am happy I have been a part of it. All the best to all the participants who are still completing the modules and everyone who wishes to take part in it in the future. 💙

Profesor PlusI agree - it really brings the illustration to the next level having it presented like this in the end. It looks so well and I'm so happy to have been a part of your creative process. I'm so happy that you've found this course useful and I think you have come up with such a fun and brilliant end result.
I wish you all the best on your continued creative journey and I'm looking forward to seeing your illustrations out there :D

Also if you ever are in London or do any workshops in England, it would be great to meet you for a coffee or come to your lecture. Best of luck in your creative work!
