well, it doesn't have much to do with the original briefing but it doesn't matter
Matte is funny but lacks definition. I explain. there are many areas where the typical photoshopal shading is clearly visible, giving everything a digital airbrush feel. I see everything also a bit bright, static and without a sense of depth. It looks like a matte a bit flat. All of this is easy to correct by adding blur to the furthest ends and with color corrections that separate the different depth planes.
On the other hand, the fumes are seen to be only in the first term and have no interaction. I would put them more disguised and perhaps a few more in more distant terms.
