I would have liked to be able to see the process, so I could comment before. Now that it is finished, it gives me some shame to comment, but here I go :)
I think the story you presented is interesting, the composition and the weight that is changing in the painting. As for animation I see symmetrical times. In other words, the time was very even and the compositional changes were very marked. A second for a moment, it changes, another moment, it changes. and that makes it look less fluid, more "hard", less gestural and sensitive.
I would like you to be able to do a new rough, without thinking about doing cleanup and color again, just for fun. animating straight ahead, without thinking about the character's running cycles. achieving that the composition transitions are not so marked in terms of time.

Cute one, you can add some ease in the camera when the letter 1 settles and maybe do an overshoot for letter 1 towards the cat a bit. again, loved it!
