Finally my final image has been completely different from what was raised in the moodboard and sketches.
The background that I was going to use did not look good when photographing it. So I changed the idea.
When opting for a purple background, instead of using the colored cubes that I thought at the beginning, I preferred to use a tangerine, which is a bright orange color and would be better with the purple background.
On the other hand, I did not find vinyl backgrounds in stores in my city. So I opted for a furniture lining paper, which was not a very good idea, because it gave a lot of shine and was very burned in the image. So I had to retouch a lot later in Photoshop, and in the end, I colored the background directly.
On the other hand, it was also difficult for me to find a good exposure in my camera settings. I had the images with low resolution or a lot of grain (with high ISOS), or very dark and shaky (I have a canon eos 1100d).
I have loved this course, and I am looking forward to continuing to practice to improve.
Hello @estefania_rammar Thank you very much for sharing with everyone the result of your course. And that despite all the difficulties you encountered, you kept going until you had a final result. It is a type of photography that technically poses difficulties and when you find them all, you will surely have learned a lot from it. Actually this is the purpose of the course and in future projects you will have more resources and knowledge to face it.
As for your image, the contrast between the mandarin orange and the purple works well, the splash is dynamic and the transparency that the shadow of the cup projects also contributes to the composition. The only thing that the frame is a bit unbalanced, having a lot of air above and being very just below. If you have finally colored the backgrounds in post production it is something you can still fix.
I leave you a tip, and it is that the artificial backgrounds of solid colors when they make gradients mark some rings in the change of tone. That is solved by adding a little bit of texture or noise that is very subtle and imperceptible to the eye and makes these light falls smoother and then print well. Thanks for the job!
I think your work is great, I owe mine ... I promise to catch up soon it would be great to see more of your work if you have a web / blog or instagram feed it would be great to know
