Here's my final project for Felicie Haymoz' class on Anthropomorphic Animals! We were tasked with creating a character and developing a backstory about them. Here's mine:
~Duchess of "Earlingame" (of the 3rd House)
~Female Brown Bear (38 years old)
~Lives in the 1500’s
~Elizabethan Costume (red with gold, flecks of royal blue)
~Personality:
-Fiesty (but secretly tender with certain people)
-Commanding/formidable while still being genteel about it
-Wise and fair
-Probably drinks a little too much, but is a fun/funny drunk (twinkle in her eye)
~Terrified of being discovered, as she’s secretly been hiding the holy manuscript of the ancient Golden tome (now banned under Porcupine rule) in her wine cellar
~Special skill: Ripping your throat out in one neat piece with her manicured 4” claws
I even made her a coat of arms (see pic) - Two bees flanking a dripping honeycomb, reading, "Vivamus Ursus" (Long Live Bear)
I still have a long way to go in my digital painting skills... I feel like she's too "perfect", needs more texture? Hair? Not sure. But I like her anyway!
At the end of this thread, I'm including a few other characters I created during the class as well.
Great course, I loved it!!
