I really like the process, even more than the end result.
I think that what I don't like is the stroke + gradient theme that is later. If you had stayed with the one that I attached to you and you had presented it on the photograph with some light gray, on that white it could look good. It would be neat and the handwritten subject with brush strokes could be really cool.
Have you seen what happens when you are not a graphic designer? :)
The style that I have given him is because I don't like the group, which was the important thing and that is why the final style with pastel tones in the '80s plan. Anyway, keep in mind that the important thing is the development of the practice of painting letters, the final processing is the icing on the cake and it is a matter of personal taste / skill with graphic editing programs :)
But hey, I don't rule out including that style as a variant, thanks for the tip!
EDIT: I hadn't read it right at first. You seem to say that the first design you point to is the same as the final one. It is not like that at all. In this test there is a lack of rhythm, very stretched letters, the "n" are too formal (at least the first, the second is something similar to the "fast" style that I wanted to achieve but without reaching it), which also happens to the "o" and to some extent to the "s". Not to mention that the "h" is different, it does not have the curve that follows the ascendant and that is added in the latest graph paper designs, so that we understand each other. But you only see these things when you've been fighting doing the same word like 500 times (I have hundreds of pages in my office and at home to prove it!: D).
I have to tell you that it is not bad at all (it will happen to me the same as you, I am not a designer, lol), if it is true that the observation of the letter "in light gray" is very good.
Damn ... I hadn't been in it for a long time. It's great. It is very cool as receiving the same training, each one prints their personal roll in these exercises and gives different results. Let's go for more!

Hello SuperLopez ...
I have to tell you that it is not bad at all (it will happen to me the same as you, I am not a designer, lol), if it is true that the observation of the letter "in light gray" is very good.
Nice job.

Nice job! But I agree that stroke and gradient are not the best option. Anyway, you've done a lot of work. :)

Thanks @IMI
Not if in the end I will have to listen to you and put an end to the final logo in Illustrator :)

I agree with the above! Gradient and border are obnoxious, but that's what it was about, right? xD
Good job and very good process @superl0pez
