Initial wash of blue laid down with 1inch flat brush. Note how sky lightens towards the horizon

Starting light to dark, working on dry paper. Letting colours bleed were needed to create merges and soft edges .

Next the head and body were painted, starting with the lightest colours first and then getting darker, soft and hard edges

Second flamingo finished and a few swirls added to the water with a size 12 round brush, tip used.
