Sometimes I need some external motivation to create. This course was an excellent starter. I used the project to explore my interest in paper collage and take it beyond my sketchbook, which is full of earlier collage explorations, in an illustration. Sarah gave me the courage to play and go for it.

    I love it! Well done! I find collage so hard! the colours and textures work really well. Maybe you can put another pumpkin or a squirrel or something in the bottom right corner - so that the head/tail also cover part of the bench the girl is sitting on.

    @sarahvandongenillustration Hi Sarah, thank you for your kind comment! I like your squirrel suggestion, so I'll try that one. That's one of the things I love about collage: I can move things around and see how they work. I'm just the kind of person who has to feel her way into an illustration.
