My project for course: Exploratory Sketchbook: Find Your Drawing Style

I used acrylic gouache for this illustration. The colour palette is cool colours I wanted to create a mood of tranquility. I warmed the illustration up a little with orange on my trousers and pink on the scatter mat the dog is lying on.

I used traditional gouache for my self portrait snoozing in the garden. The colours are a bit murky. I'm still finding my colour palette that says something about my me and my style.

At the moment I prefer the acrylic gouache as the colours are more vibrant, but I will continue to sketch and paint to find my style. I'm a little heavy handed with the graphic pencil at the moment.
