hi Marta! will write in English so others might take notes as well;)
Congrats on finishing a course with me - hope you had fun hanging out and creating your own portrait! Can I ask you what's the paper? super unique and bold choice, with so much texture!
I think you chose a unique and not that easy-to-execute composition. Great job with drawing people, I can imagine them in real life! Hope it's not the last one from you.
If I can give you some notes for the future - be mindful about hard edges while drawing the human body - usually, spots like hips or arms are rather soft and round (directing your attention to women's shoulders on your drawing). Mind while drawing objects in the room, that usually they're situated on the same level. The flower pot should start (more or less) where the couch does. Now looks like it's floating in the air. You can extend the pot to the edge of the paper or ad legs so it looks like it's standing on some kind of table.
I wanna also bring the background to your attention. If you use stripes as a pattern, plus pretty similar colours, it would be helpful to have them a bit more precise. Especially, against such a strong item like an orange couch. I find the contrast between the background and illustrated elements a bit too strong now, the wall looks a bit too airy if you know what I mean. Thin, bit more defined lines made with a pencil could work as well.
@daria_solak_illustrations Thank you very much for your comments, I take them all to heart. I agree with all the comments, I will apply. I am still experimenting, looking for my style and I have a lot of fun drawing. The drawing was made in the Art Journal sketchbook by Avec 300g/m.
