Here's my first danish cord weaving project ! There's a few imperfection throughout, I've had some difficulties with keeping the cord around the side rail neat and tidy, but considering this is my very first attempt, i'm rather pleased with it :-)
This turned out beautifully! It looks so lovely next to that plaster wall, and it looks like it will be a perfect side table for your bed. Congratulations!
Cheer ! I just finished this Danish rope weaving course and can't wait to start a project. Have you created the structure of your bench?
the end result is very successful. Well done again!!
Hello Valerie! Yes my buddy built it so I could weave in it. He is not very experienced yet so I had my share of challenges. My advice if you decide to design your bench yourself is to make sure that the "bars" connecting the legs on which you are going to weave are really very solid. The weaving still creates a good tension and pressure on them which can cause them to turn or move!
I had to undo a portion of my weaving along the way to re-solidify them.

I ordered a 200m spool and there's still some left on it. Can't tell you exactly how much I used but it can give you an idea !

@pepinvanessa can you tell me where to get the material. In the end do I have to do some type of varnish application?
