Profesor PlusLove the sketch, I struggle with transferring the sketch energy to the final piece as well.
I think the vector part feels a bit too flat. It's missing some depth, I think with some tones in the water and sky, perhaps darker and more defined shadows would help too. All the elements are there but I think the islands are a bit too close to the head of the guy and being darker color they steal the attention from the person, perhaps they could be in lighter tone and further away. Not sure about the soft clouds and shadows, I would try to define them a bit more also.
