Hello Krystina!
Thank you very much for sharing your final project. Impressive the speed at which you have done the course and the project! That is what is called "motivation" :)
We would love to know the story behind the project: why have you chosen a beauty and manicure center? Is it a real project or a dream that you would like to carry out? We read you ;-)
Otherwise, your approach is very interesting and you have reached a surprising level of depth. We love the name (although if it were a real project you would surely have to look for an alternative because in all probability "Cinderella" is already registered) and the descent you make from the brand narrative to your space. It has a funny point. In fact, it would have been very powerful if you related this brand narrative to the space and took it a step further.
For example: in your narrative you name the pumpkins. Well, imagine that the pedicure seats had the rounded shape of a pumpkin, instead of being a conventional bench. And even (driving us a little crazy), imagine that your entire space was pumpkin-colored, enveloping, and that when customers entered it they felt that they were literally immersing themselves in the pumpkin that Cinderella's carriage becomes when they give. 12 o'clock. An orange space, with warm and soft textiles (reminiscent of the pumpkin flesh), in which strokes of color could be given, for example, by the sinks in a tone similar to that of the pumpkin seeds. Or imagine that the mouse you are talking about, was next to the entrance door, coming out of a hole (vinyl, for example, not real xD), instead of on the main facade (where by the way we do not recommend that you place it , because it competes with your brand logo). They are just ideas so you can see the potential of the idea you have in your hands and all the game that it could give.
If you have questions or want us to comment on a specific point, here we are.
In the meantime, thanks for your effort and congratulations!
@wanna_ Hello,
Thank you for your comments and ideas which are great and crazy. This project is not real, I´m learning interior design when my little daughter sleeps, I´m still on maternity leave with 2 years old daughter. And I try design interiors I learn draw in Sketchup first my house and spaces which I saw somewhere (cafés, restaurants, candyshops, etc.) or flats of my parents, brother, friends, etc. and if I don´t have any layout, I download some on internet as this one. This one I found on internet. My dream interiors is feminine like this one. And because I never designed beauty salon, I decided to try it. I wanted that women feel in this space as princess, they feel to be relaxed and feel taken care about them, it was the reason why I designed feminine "princess" space and because it was the space for princess I was looking for the name and branding concept in "princess and castle" field. And because the Cinderellas was first not very pretty and after princ found her beauty and she became princess I choose the name and theme Cinderellas. I wanted that the theme is as in beauty salon - women who don´t care about their face, look (Cinderellas) are going to the salon to become princess to find their beauty and they leave as princess. I could do concept as something like "miracles in a minute" or something like "We will find your beauty", something like beauty transformation "before and after", but I can´t put any images before and after on the wall, I tried also find some free images or icons to use, because I´m not graphic, I would like learn Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign in future, but now I´m learning Sketchup, so I try use what I have :) Maybe I could make some vinyl sticker by the entry as beauty machine, something for exemple like "Are you tired? Do you need some beauty care about you? Do you need a rest? Please insert the coin and push the door." And inside something like "And now miracle is done". Your proposed ideas are great but I would like use it rather in playroom for children or some funny space with a lot of energy, I´m affraid that for clients to be inside big pumpkin and orange colour everywhere is not making feel them to be relaxed and have a rest. I was the reason why I did this "princess feminine interior" and discreet branding. Maybe I could choose another princess :) I´m enthused and motivate to try draw playroom for children like to be inside the pumpkin with this theme next time :) Thank you for your ideas, coments and time
Hello again, Krystina:
Well, congratulations once again for the work done. It is very worthwhile that you are learning on your own, in the few "just for you" moments that motherhood offers you. We know what that is ;-)
We have been delighted to learn the story behind your project. And hopefully we get a chance to see that "game room" you have in mind. Until then, a hug and thank you very much for your involvement in the course.
